Sylvester Stallone revealed worst movie he starred in

stallone-1533562698Sylvester Stallone has had a long and storied career, from the original Rocky and Rambo movies to his more recent resurgence in Creed and The Expendables franchises. But there’s one movie which the actor isn’t so proud of, and he just took to Instagram to slam it as the worst working experience of his career.

The action star shared a video promoting his new movie, Escape Plan 3: The Extractors, a movie he’s very proud of, but couldn’t quite resist getting in a dig at the previous film in the series.

“Escape Plan 2 WAS TRULY THE MOST HORRIBLY PRODUCED FILM I have ever had the misfortune to be in,” he wrote in the caption, before going on to praise the work ethic of everybody involved in the third instalment. “This new film was made in an extraordinarily short amount of time, 17 nights, dusk till dawn, no breaks, we ate while we worked!!!!” He said. “The Crew were under unbelievable pressure. . Proud of them!”

The first Escape Plan movie came out in 2013, and starred Stallone as a structural engineer who specializes in testing security systems and who ends up having to find a way out of the world’s most advanced prison, nicknamed “The Tomb.” Escape Plan was the first movie to star both Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger as c0-leads.

The sequel, Escape Plan 2: Hades, followed in 2018, with Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista joining the cast. And Stallone wasn’t the only one who had issues with the movie: David Erhlich at IndieWire called it “a bootlegged ripoff of its own franchise.”

But it looks like Stallone is back on board with this third movie in the series; in the Instagram post he enthusiastically recalls how he and co-star Devon Sawa eschewed traditional stunts for “non-choreographed, spontaneous” fight scenes in long single takes. Viewers can decide for themselves whether The Extractors is any better than Hades when the movie is released on pay-per-view on July 2.
